Tidy Savers Update – August 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Aug. 4th 2016 11:52 AM

As regular players at Tidy Bingo will know, Tidy is under new ownership now and as such, we need to settle the Tidy Savers promotion and ensure you all get your vouchers that you have saved with us up to and including 31st July 2016.

In total you managed to save £550.25 since November 2015, an impressive amount by all accounts!

Help For Heroes – Tidy Bingo’s 5th Donation

Posted by on: Wednesday, Aug. 3rd 2016 12:18 PM

On July 5th we made our 5th donation to Help for Heroes, taking the total amount donated at that point to an impressive £2,868.90! As is always the case when we make a donation, we received a letter thanking us just a few days later.

The letter thanks us for the donation and tells of his it is put to use supporting wounded soldiers and their families. If you read on, you will see a scanned copy of the letter.

Tidy Cupboard – Changes Afoot

Posted by on: Friday, Jul. 1st 2016 12:36 AM

As you will all know, for some time now we have seen a drop in the number of players in the Tidy Cupboard. This has continued for a while now and David and I have made a decision to change things around a little.

Rather than lose the room completely, something we don’t want to do, we’re going to try and revive it. How we plan to do that may sound a little odd but there is a method in our madness. However, it does mean that from 1st August 2016 the Cupboard is only to be open on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Loyalty Rewarded At Tidy Bingo

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 2:47 PM

As regulars at Tidy Bingo will know, the network offers a loyalty reward scheme that sees you earn extra bonuses, cash back etc. as you rise through the ranks. As a little something extra, we’re going to introduce a form of loyalty scheme into the Tidy Cupboard too.

As you will have noticed, player numbers have been dropping of late in the Cupboard and as such, it doesn’t remain viable to keep giving away as many loyalty points as we have been whilst player numbers diminish.

Tidy Bingo Up For Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 1:23 PM

The Which Bingo Award shortlist has been announced today and once again Tidy Bingo has received a nomination. This year there isn’t a Best Boutique Bingo Site, the category we usually find ourselves in. For 2016, we have been nominated as Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site and for the first time since we launched, we’re going to put a bit of effort into winning.

It’s not that we don’t want to win, of course it isn’t, but we are always competing with brands we have bigger budgets and more players so it often feels like we are a non-starter. This year however, only five of the brands under the Jumpman Gaming hat have been nominated so our odds of winning are slightly better!

Catchphrase Competition – March 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Feb. 25th 2016 1:29 PM

Can you believe it’s nearly March already? It seems like only yesterday that we were running Christmas competitions and rummaging in Santa’s Sack! Anyway, as the year rolls on, it’s time for another Catchphrase competition and your chance to win a selection of Tidy branded goods, maybe some Help For Heroes bits and bobs and even some bonus funds!

This time we’re going to do things a little differently (not much) and will be sending the competition by internal mail, external mail and posting on Facebook. We’re hoping this gets more people involved and who knows, with enough entries – we might even throw in a few extra prizes!

Ham And Egg Cups

Posted by on: Sunday, Jan. 24th 2016 5:36 PM

As some of you may know, I’m currently with Slimming World trying to shed a few stone. If you’ve never done this diet before then it’s worth knowing that foods are divided into categories and it is actually the only diet that I have done that I have found really easy to stick to. The only thing that I am not completely comfortable with is the weekly meetings, and whilst I know many get a lot from the meetings – they don’t really do it for me. If any of you guys want to slim along with me – feel free. I lost 6.5lbs in my first week….

That said, I have paid for 10 sessions, so I will do those and then probably just continue alone at home. Anyway, I digress, the reason for this blog post was to share one of the recipes that I made today, one that I really enjoyed and takes hardly any time to make. It’s a free food, so you can eat as many of these as you want.

Free Jackpot Game – The Outcome

Posted by on: Saturday, Jan. 23rd 2016 9:50 PM

I thought that I’d sit in the room and watch our biggest every free game take place tonight, the big £1000 jackpot. I wanted to see who were winners, and of course, report the outcome to all the Tidy Bingo players who were otherwise engaged.

In total there were a whopping 4,437 when the game got underway and I was on tenterhooks (as I am sure the players in the room were too).

Posted by on: Tuesday, Jan. 5th 2016 3:56 PM

Just before Christmas we made our fourth donation to the Help For Heroes charity thanks to the your continued support of the Tidy and the Troops game.

To date we have now donated £2238.75 with a further £49.25 raised since we last donated to this great cause. As always when we make a donation, Help For Heroes send us a letter and if you continue reading you will find a scan of the letter received.

Thank You, Thank You And Again, Thank You

Posted by on: Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2015 7:38 PM

There are many things that I love about Tidy and for those of you that know me, you’ll know that it has always been a dream of mine to run my own bingo site. From player, to host, from host to writer and then writer to site owner, it took me ten years to get here but I did.

There have been ups and downs, as our blog readers know, but one of the biggest ups happened this week. Quietly beavering away in my office, the doorbell rings with a delivery…..

New Feature – Streak Buster

Thursday, Oct. 31st 2013 11:15 AM

The techies behind the scenes are constantly working to enhance your gaming experience and today we bring you news of a new feature at Tidy Bingo and it’s called the Streak Buster. It might have been better known as the Unlucky Streak Buster but lads, before you get your hopes up, there are not going to be any semi clad women (or men for the ladies) streaking across the screen!

The Lucky Streak works in a really simple to follow way, if you play five consecutive games and Lady Luck has deserted you meaning that you don’t win one line, two lines or the full house, you will get free tickets for the sixth game.

Cash Cloud And Newbie Jackpot Results

Monday, Oct. 28th 2013 3:42 PM

Rather then do two separate results pieces I thought I’d save a little space (and time) and bring you all the news of the two most recent jackpot games in Cash Cloud and the Newbie Room. Firstly we are looking at the Thursday Cash Cloud game from 24th October – did it beat the record jackpot?

Sadly not, there was a total of £315.10 split amongst the players in the Cash Cloud game on Thursday, there were 107 players in total who had tickets and of these 66 won at least £1.36. This means the percentage of players that were winners last Thursday was 61.6%.

Tidy Factor – Miss Dynamix Sent Home

Sunday, Oct. 27th 2013 9:07 PM

Saturday saw Movie Night on the XFactor and for me there were two acts that certainly earned their place in next weeks live show. I’m a massive fan of Sam Bailey anyway but her performance of My Heart Will Go On was absolutely amazing. The other act that shone for me last night was Tamera Foster but I agree with what Gary said about her losing the ‘tribute act’ type performance.

It was clear, just by the poor performance, that Miss Dynamix were going to be the act put through to the sing off tonight though – it was ‘pitchy’ and really boring in my opinion. The shock was to find Hannah Barrett in the sing off though!

Gallstones – What A Pain!

Saturday, Oct. 26th 2013 7:06 AM

The Tidy blog seems to be the place where I share a lot about myself I thought I’d share with you a bit about my gallstones. Now this might make you want to click away or stop reading on but it should make you laugh despite it seeming wrong to laugh at another’s misfortune. When I first got the pain that goes with gallstones I thought I simply had heartburn or that my bra was digging in too much; it’s a pain that really gets you in the chest area, just where your bra sits.

It continued intermittently for a few months steadily getting worse and it was after one particularly painful incident that I decided to get to the doctors. A scan was booked and gallstones diagnosed.

Catch Your Chat Host Out

Friday, Oct. 25th 2013 7:59 AM

Recently I wrote about chat host typos and how they can be quite funny in the rooms. Of course I’m not talking the usual typo but something with a bit of innuendo or an expletive that wasn’t supposed to be there, I’m sure you know what I mean. In the original post (read it here) I suggested the Tidyer’s send us examples of the typos they see in the chat rooms at Tidy Bingo but to date we haven’t received any!

A suggestion by one of our hosts on our Facebook wall was that you have all been sworn to secrecy so we thought a little bonus bribe might loosen lips so how does £50 sound to get you talking and sharing the funny typos?

Your Site, Your Say

Thursday, Oct. 24th 2013 7:58 AM

Since the site launched I believe that we have shared quite a bit about who we are and our plans for Tidy Bingo, one of which is that we want you to have a say in what you see at the site. It’s all well and good David and I brain storming promotions but does what we offer appeal to you? David and I may own Tidy Bingo but it is YOUR site and we want YOU to have YOUR say.

As you will know if you are an avid Tidyer, since launch there have been four exclusive promotions to date – not bad considering we have only been open a month. All of the details for these can be seen on the Promotions page from the main site but in short they are:

Newbie Jackpot Results – 18th October 2013

Tuesday, Oct. 22nd 2013 7:51 AM

Last week saw the inaugural Newbie Jackpot game take place and Tidy player did quite well. Two Tidyer’s netted the one line and full house wins but how have the new players to our brand faired in the second game? Here we look at the results for 18th October 2013 in the Newbie Jackpot.

The prize pool for these games is an impressive £500 and tickets cost just 25p each. There is £400 to be split amongst the 90 ball game winners and £100 (£50 each) in the community prize pool for 1TG and 2TG players.

Cash Cloud Results – 17th October 2013

Monday, Oct. 21st 2013 10:31 AM

Another big Cash Cloud game took place on Thursday 17th October but did the prize money beat the record? Sadly the answer is “not even close”. The total amount in the prize pool was £264.51, less than half of the record jackpot amount.

Whilst the actual prize money wasn’t as impressive as it could have been, the percentage of winners wasn’t too shoddy at all. There were 91 players with tickets of which 44 won at least 1.29. That’s a percentage of 48%.

Tidy Factor – Shelley Smith Sent Home

Sunday, Oct. 20th 2013 8:25 PM

Tonight we saw Shelley Smith leave the X Factor after receiving the least votes between yesterday’s show and this evening. For many this won’t be a great disappointment, she didn’t make the connection with the great British public that many of the other acts have. My money (albeit virtual money) was on either Abi or Shelley being sent home following the performances last night.

I was certainly shocked to see Kingsland Road get the least amount of votes in the Flash vote last night.

Chat Host Typos

Friday, Oct. 18th 2013 1:06 PM

There are many different aspects of any online bingo site that make it work and keep players coming back time and time again but for me, one of the most important features are the chat hosts. These are the front of our bingo brand, the receptionists if you like and without great hosts, a brand has very little to offer by way of the social side of bingo.

I thought it would be quite funny, having been a host myself, to start a “just for fun” style competition. Having been a host myself I am well aware of typos and the mirth that said typos can create in a room (read on for details of some of my typos). What I’d like to hear about is some of the classic typos that the hosts at Tidy Bingo make – whether it’s the host themselves posting the typos or you, the players – I want to hear about it. Sadly I can’t be in the rooms all the time, I’d never get any work done, so I probably miss all the best ones so Tidyer’s can be my eyes and ears to ensure I get to hear all the doozies!
