Tidy Savers Update – August 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Aug. 4th 2016 11:52 AM

As regular players at Tidy Bingo will know, Tidy is under new ownership now and as such, we need to settle the Tidy Savers promotion and ensure you all get your vouchers that you have saved with us up to and including 31st July 2016.

In total you managed to save £550.25 since November 2015, an impressive amount by all accounts!

Posted by on: Wednesday, Aug. 3rd 2016 12:18 PM

On July 5th we made our 5th donation to Help for Heroes, taking the total amount donated at that point to an impressive £2,868.90! As is always the case when we make a donation, we received a letter thanking us just a few days later.

The letter thanks us for the donation and tells of his it is put to use supporting wounded soldiers and their families. If you read on, you will see a scanned copy of the letter.

Tidy Cupboard – Changes Afoot

Posted by on: Friday, Jul. 1st 2016 12:36 AM

As you will all know, for some time now we have seen a drop in the number of players in the Tidy Cupboard. This has continued for a while now and David and I have made a decision to change things around a little.

Rather than lose the room completely, something we don’t want to do, we’re going to try and revive it. How we plan to do that may sound a little odd but there is a method in our madness. However, it does mean that from 1st August 2016 the Cupboard is only to be open on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Loyalty Rewarded At Tidy Bingo

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 2:47 PM

As regulars at Tidy Bingo will know, the network offers a loyalty reward scheme that sees you earn extra bonuses, cash back etc. as you rise through the ranks. As a little something extra, we’re going to introduce a form of loyalty scheme into the Tidy Cupboard too.

As you will have noticed, player numbers have been dropping of late in the Cupboard and as such, it doesn’t remain viable to keep giving away as many loyalty points as we have been whilst player numbers diminish.

Tidy Bingo Up For Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 1:23 PM

The Which Bingo Award shortlist has been announced today and once again Tidy Bingo has received a nomination. This year there isn’t a Best Boutique Bingo Site, the category we usually find ourselves in. For 2016, we have been nominated as Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site and for the first time since we launched, we’re going to put a bit of effort into winning.

It’s not that we don’t want to win, of course it isn’t, but we are always competing with brands we have bigger budgets and more players so it often feels like we are a non-starter. This year however, only five of the brands under the Jumpman Gaming hat have been nominated so our odds of winning are slightly better!

Catchphrase Competition – March 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Feb. 25th 2016 1:29 PM

Can you believe it’s nearly March already? It seems like only yesterday that we were running Christmas competitions and rummaging in Santa’s Sack! Anyway, as the year rolls on, it’s time for another Catchphrase competition and your chance to win a selection of Tidy branded goods, maybe some Help For Heroes bits and bobs and even some bonus funds!

This time we’re going to do things a little differently (not much) and will be sending the competition by internal mail, external mail and posting on Facebook. We’re hoping this gets more people involved and who knows, with enough entries – we might even throw in a few extra prizes!

Ham And Egg Cups

Posted by on: Sunday, Jan. 24th 2016 5:36 PM

As some of you may know, I’m currently with Slimming World trying to shed a few stone. If you’ve never done this diet before then it’s worth knowing that foods are divided into categories and it is actually the only diet that I have done that I have found really easy to stick to. The only thing that I am not completely comfortable with is the weekly meetings, and whilst I know many get a lot from the meetings – they don’t really do it for me. If any of you guys want to slim along with me – feel free. I lost 6.5lbs in my first week….

That said, I have paid for 10 sessions, so I will do those and then probably just continue alone at home. Anyway, I digress, the reason for this blog post was to share one of the recipes that I made today, one that I really enjoyed and takes hardly any time to make. It’s a free food, so you can eat as many of these as you want.

Free Jackpot Game – The Outcome

Posted by on: Saturday, Jan. 23rd 2016 9:50 PM

I thought that I’d sit in the room and watch our biggest every free game take place tonight, the big £1000 jackpot. I wanted to see who were winners, and of course, report the outcome to all the Tidy Bingo players who were otherwise engaged.

In total there were a whopping 4,437 when the game got underway and I was on tenterhooks (as I am sure the players in the room were too).

Thank You, Thank You And Again, Thank You

Posted by on: Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2015 7:38 PM

There are many things that I love about Tidy and for those of you that know me, you’ll know that it has always been a dream of mine to run my own bingo site. From player, to host, from host to writer and then writer to site owner, it took me ten years to get here but I did.

There have been ups and downs, as our blog readers know, but one of the biggest ups happened this week. Quietly beavering away in my office, the doorbell rings with a delivery…..

Another Exclusive For Tidyer’s – HalloWIN

Wednesday, Oct. 16th 2013 9:52 AM

David is feeling rather pleased with himself today, he’s the brains behind the new exclusive promotion name – HalloWIN. It’s a catchy name don’t you think? HalloWIN is an example of how David and I work together, the promotional idea was mine, the name his. You could say we compliment each other. Anyway, enough of patting ourselves on the back and blowing hot air up our own posteriors – what does HalloWIN mean for you?

Most importantly it means the chance to win £50 in bonus funds and that’s a far from shoddy prize. There is £50 for EVERY player that can spell out BOO by winning on the B and O letters in the 75 ball rooms at Tidy Bingo. This means that whether one of 100 of Tidyer’s manage to spell BOO, each will get £50!

Newbie Jackpot Results – 11th October

Tuesday, Oct. 15th 2013 7:45 AM

The very first Newbie Jackpot game took place last Friday (11th October) and 58 players competed to play for the £500 prize pool. In addition to the one line, two line and full house prizes there was also £50 in both the 1TG and 2TG prize kitty. Of the 58 players that took part in the inaugural Newbie Jackpot game, a total of 29 won a prize of at least £2.78. That means half of the players who had a ticket won a prize.

What is even more impressive about this first Newbie Jackpot game is that two of the three main winners were Tidy Bingo players!

Cash Cloud Results – 3rd and 10th October

Monday, Oct. 14th 2013 12:21 PM

Apologies for the delay in supplying you with the recent Thursday Cash Cloud results but with the Tidy Factor, other things had taken a bit of a back seat. Regular readers of the blog will know that there is a running challenge to Tidyer’s to help beat the current record for the first Cash Cloud game of the week, a record that was set on the 5th September 2013 which was £583.21.

Here we look at the results for the Cash Cloud games on 3rd and 10th October and see if either beat the record since Tidy Bingo launched on 21st August 2013.

Tidy Factor – Updated Results

Sunday, Oct. 13th 2013 8:20 PM

Tonight saw the first act sent home from the X Factor which means we also say goodbye to the players who had been allocated to Lorna Simpson. Do you think the right act went home this evening? For me personally both Lorna and Shelley performed better than quite a few of the others on the show last night, certainly better than Luke Friend and Sam Callahan.

My husband summed it up nicely whilst watching the show, never one to bite his tongue with his opinion. He said “At this point it isn’t a singing contest, it’s a popularity contest” and he is probably right.

Tidy Factor – Player Allocations

Sunday, Oct. 13th 2013 1:08 AM

The first of the X Factor Live Shows aired this evening that means for the Tidy Factor voting is closed. With the amendment to the rules the chances are, if you didn’t vote, you will want to know which act you were allocated. Chances are you will be hoping that you haven’t be allocated Shelley Smith simply because following the flash vote, she is the first act in the sing off tomorrow.

Here we list all players eligible for the promotion and the act they have either voted for or been allocated to.

Tidy Factor Rule Change

Thursday, Oct. 10th 2013 4:24 PM

As many of our players will know voting for the Tidy Factor closes on Saturday 12th October at 8pm and originally we had planned to just enter the voting players into the promotion. However, at this point in time we have received just five votes. With 12 finalists and just five votes this means that the chances of anyone actually having picked the winning act were quite low and this is the reason for the change in the rules.

We have put £500 in the kitty for this promotion, money that we want to give away to our players. But with only a few voters, two of which voted for the same act, the chance of finding a winner were slim. Imagine if the acts that have been voted for left in the first couple of weeks – the promotion would be over and we would still have £500 in our pockets.

Bring Your Teddy To Work Day

Wednesday, Oct. 9th 2013 7:45 AM

Today is Bring Your Teddy Bear To Work (or school) Day and I have my little cuddly friend sat on my desk beside me (proof available later on in this blog). I have a far older teddy, one I have had since I was two years, but sadly he has been stored in the loft and there are spiders up there, so I am not going to retrieve him!

To celebrate the day we have a couple of special promotions for Tdiyer’s (these are network wide and not restricted to just Tidy Bingo). One of the promotions will see ten players each win a £10 Amazon voucher. Every player who spends just £20 on the Fluffy Favourite slot will be entered into the prize draw where ten players will be drawn at random.

Sex Box – Did Anyone Watch It?

Tuesday, Oct. 8th 2013 9:27 AM

Most mornings I will have a little look around the social media sites and have a look at what is trending and today I was intrigued to see #SexBox was there. What is a Sex Box? Well, according to the Channel 4 page is is a place where couples can “discuss their feelings and sensations about their love life after having sex”….

Mariella Frostrup is the presenter and if you watch the introductory clip you will see that the couples that participate are asked to have sex in a box (don’t worry, it’s quite a large box!) and then sit and discuss the type of sex they had with an audience and a panel. Now I’m no prude but you’d have to pay me a shed load of cash for me to even consider entering the sex box.

Butlins 80’s Weekend

Wednesday, Oct. 2nd 2013 7:22 AM

I just want to let you all know that I won’t be around this weekend so the blog may go a little neglected (unless of course the shy and retiring David posts). For a few months now the neighbours and I have had a girlie weekend planned; we’re off to Butlins in Skegness for an 80’s weekend.

The whole group, of which there are eight of us, are 40 or over with the exception of my fit friend who is still a couple of month’s off the big four O. The plan is that we’ll be arriving Friday evening after everyone has finished work, dump off our bags in the chalets, a quick change and then hit the venues.
