Posted by on: Thursday, Aug. 4th 2016 11:52 AM

As regular players at Tidy Bingo will know, Tidy is under new ownership now and as such, we need to settle the Tidy Savers promotion and ensure you all get your vouchers that you have saved with us up to and including 31st July 2016.

In total you managed to save £550.25 since November 2015, an impressive amount by all accounts!

Help For Heroes – Tidy Bingo’s 5th Donation

Posted by on: Wednesday, Aug. 3rd 2016 12:18 PM

On July 5th we made our 5th donation to Help for Heroes, taking the total amount donated at that point to an impressive £2,868.90! As is always the case when we make a donation, we received a letter thanking us just a few days later.

The letter thanks us for the donation and tells of his it is put to use supporting wounded soldiers and their families. If you read on, you will see a scanned copy of the letter.

Tidy Cupboard – Changes Afoot

Posted by on: Friday, Jul. 1st 2016 12:36 AM

As you will all know, for some time now we have seen a drop in the number of players in the Tidy Cupboard. This has continued for a while now and David and I have made a decision to change things around a little.

Rather than lose the room completely, something we don’t want to do, we’re going to try and revive it. How we plan to do that may sound a little odd but there is a method in our madness. However, it does mean that from 1st August 2016 the Cupboard is only to be open on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Loyalty Rewarded At Tidy Bingo

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 2:47 PM

As regulars at Tidy Bingo will know, the network offers a loyalty reward scheme that sees you earn extra bonuses, cash back etc. as you rise through the ranks. As a little something extra, we’re going to introduce a form of loyalty scheme into the Tidy Cupboard too.

As you will have noticed, player numbers have been dropping of late in the Cupboard and as such, it doesn’t remain viable to keep giving away as many loyalty points as we have been whilst player numbers diminish.

Tidy Bingo Up For Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 1:23 PM

The Which Bingo Award shortlist has been announced today and once again Tidy Bingo has received a nomination. This year there isn’t a Best Boutique Bingo Site, the category we usually find ourselves in. For 2016, we have been nominated as Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site and for the first time since we launched, we’re going to put a bit of effort into winning.

It’s not that we don’t want to win, of course it isn’t, but we are always competing with brands we have bigger budgets and more players so it often feels like we are a non-starter. This year however, only five of the brands under the Jumpman Gaming hat have been nominated so our odds of winning are slightly better!

Catchphrase Competition – March 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Feb. 25th 2016 1:29 PM

Can you believe it’s nearly March already? It seems like only yesterday that we were running Christmas competitions and rummaging in Santa’s Sack! Anyway, as the year rolls on, it’s time for another Catchphrase competition and your chance to win a selection of Tidy branded goods, maybe some Help For Heroes bits and bobs and even some bonus funds!

This time we’re going to do things a little differently (not much) and will be sending the competition by internal mail, external mail and posting on Facebook. We’re hoping this gets more people involved and who knows, with enough entries – we might even throw in a few extra prizes!

Ham And Egg Cups

Posted by on: Sunday, Jan. 24th 2016 5:36 PM

As some of you may know, I’m currently with Slimming World trying to shed a few stone. If you’ve never done this diet before then it’s worth knowing that foods are divided into categories and it is actually the only diet that I have done that I have found really easy to stick to. The only thing that I am not completely comfortable with is the weekly meetings, and whilst I know many get a lot from the meetings – they don’t really do it for me. If any of you guys want to slim along with me – feel free. I lost 6.5lbs in my first week….

That said, I have paid for 10 sessions, so I will do those and then probably just continue alone at home. Anyway, I digress, the reason for this blog post was to share one of the recipes that I made today, one that I really enjoyed and takes hardly any time to make. It’s a free food, so you can eat as many of these as you want.

Free Jackpot Game – The Outcome

Posted by on: Saturday, Jan. 23rd 2016 9:50 PM

I thought that I’d sit in the room and watch our biggest every free game take place tonight, the big £1000 jackpot. I wanted to see who were winners, and of course, report the outcome to all the Tidy Bingo players who were otherwise engaged.

In total there were a whopping 4,437 when the game got underway and I was on tenterhooks (as I am sure the players in the room were too).

Thank You, Thank You And Again, Thank You

Posted by on: Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2015 7:38 PM

There are many things that I love about Tidy and for those of you that know me, you’ll know that it has always been a dream of mine to run my own bingo site. From player, to host, from host to writer and then writer to site owner, it took me ten years to get here but I did.

There have been ups and downs, as our blog readers know, but one of the biggest ups happened this week. Quietly beavering away in my office, the doorbell rings with a delivery…..

Tidy Bingo And Your Mobile Or Tablet

Tuesday, Dec. 31st 2013 12:49 AM

Over the last couple of weeks we have seen an influx of ‘complaints’ on our Facebook page where players state that they cannot get the page to load. This concerned us as I am sure you can imagine, after all we want our players to be able to enjoy the site as much as possible. Upon further investigation it came to light that the issues were based around playing bingo on a mobile or tablet, something we are not yet ready for.

HTML5, the ability to play at Tidy Bingo on your mobile or tablet, is coming very soon but we are not quite there yet but it just goes to show that most players perception is that all sites are instantly available on a mobile device.

Wishing You All A Very Merry Christmas

Thursday, Dec. 19th 2013 12:15 PM

Today is my last official work day, I’m packing up and going off to Butlins for Christmas! Don’t worry though, the site has been left in the good hands of our very own elves, the lovely chat hosts so you’re not going to find the chat rooms deserted. In addition to that I will be in and out, running reports and of course, announcing Santa’s Sack winners with someone actually having the pleasure of chatting with me on Christmas Day when I call to tell them they have one the big prize!

Before I depart I just wanted to wish each and everyone of you and very happy Christmas and tell you that I hope you have all been really good, and that Santa’s brings you all that your heart desires.

A Tidy Christmas For The Troops

Monday, Dec. 16th 2013 3:41 PM

Emergency Bingo KitYou may not realise, but Bingo has a long tradition of being played in the British armed forces, dating back to the mid 19th century. It was a staple morale booster in the trenches of World War I and is still played in military circles to this day.

When Tidy Bingo learned that a morale boosting game in Afghanistan was in need of some basic bingo supplies due to the popularity of the games, we stepped in and sent an emergency bingo kit. With a big game planned for Christmas Day, and not enough bingo tickets to go around, we sent the guys a pack of markers and tickets so their game and Christmas Day celebrations could go with a swing.

On top of that, we sent them a couple of little presents that they could use for the games when they play a big jackpot game. We included a Tidy Bingo T-shirt (booby prize), some chocolates and a £25 iTunes voucher for them to play for. We felt it would be a great way to show our support at would can be a difficult time for our armed services abroad.

The parcels went off by BFPO last week, so we’re hoping a bit of good luck will get them out to the troops before Christmas Day. If you could send a bit of Tidy Bingo luck their way they might just make it. We’re hoping to hear from the troops when they get their emergency bingo kit, and hopefully we can share a couple of photos of their Christmas Day game once it’s been played. Good luck all, and Happy Christmas to you from Tidy Bingo. Stay safe!

UPDATE: We’re pleased to say that the troops received their package, and will be having a good old game on Christmas Day.

Sam Bailey Is Victorious!

Sunday, Dec. 15th 2013 10:25 PM

Over the past few months we’ve watched the X Factor religiously and tonight a winner was announced. For Sam Bailey this means a record deal and potentially a Christmas number one, for quite a few Tidy players this means a share of a £500 bonus prize pool. On 12th October all of our players who had deposited by 8pm that evening were allocated an act who had made it to the X Factor live shows. At this point Tidy Factor kicked off and each week when an act leaves the show, a few Tidyer’s left the Tidy Factor.

Bad luck to all those players who were allocated Nicholas McDondald, sadly there are 1TG prizes in the Tidy Factor.

Luke Friend Finishes 3rd In The X Factor

Saturday, Dec. 14th 2013 10:55 PM

The first of the final shows aired for X Factor tonight on ITV and we saw some pretty impressive performances by all the acts. However, for me, the performance that stole the show was the one by Nicole and Sam, despite the issues with the microphones (what happened there?). Having said that, I loved all three performances with stars – Ellie Goulding has an amazing voice in my opinion.

All in all it was very watchable TV this evening but someone had to go home and when all the votes were counted, that person was Luke Friend.

Not Enough Time For Reading

Thursday, Dec. 12th 2013 2:12 PM

One of the things that I really love to do, when I get time, is read. When life is throwing all kinds of drama and havoc my way, I love nothing more than to lose myself in a book. If the said book can evoke emotion in me, then all the better. If it is one that I cannot put down, that is another ticket in the box. However, I thought I was quite particular in my reading material until this week….

At the moment any reading time that I get seems to be limited to when I am on the toilet, maybe too much information but it is the truth. On Monday I had finished reading a book I had chosen – Suzanne Lambert’s ‘Christmas At The Ragdoll Orphanage’ but had no new reading material!

Newbies Jackpots – How Have Tidyers Fared?

Wednesday, Dec. 11th 2013 7:02 PM

It has been a little while since I have done a results piece based on the Newbie Jackpot games every Friday, I think I am two behind now. The reason is simple, I’ve been distracted by running the Santa’s Sack promotion and making sure everyone gets their prizes on time. This is a little catch up, for me as well as you, to see how we have fared in the games since the last results I posted on 22nd November.

There have been two games since then with another happening this Friday 13th December – ohhh, let’s hope that date isn’t unlucky for Tidyers. The game of 29th November had 61 players with the game on 6th December having slightly less, just 49 players. Read on for the actual results and how Tidy Bingo newbies got on.

Semi Final X Factor Results

Sunday, Dec. 8th 2013 10:48 PM

Last night saw just four acts perform on the X Factor, and as we have come to expect so close to a winner being decided, the semi finalists were each given two different songs to perform. The theme was Beyonce vs Elton John with each of the four singing one song from each of these well known artists:

In my opinion, once again, Sam Bailey stole the show. Luke Friend performing Beyonce was ‘different’ and the judges quite liked it. Nicholas sounded a little shaky when he started singing ‘Halo’ and it was a very emotional performance, tears were even shed. The judges felt it was a pitchy performance.

What’s New With Me

Thursday, Dec. 5th 2013 12:30 PM

It’s been a little while since I have written a ‘me’ blog full of funny anecdotes but the reason is simple; nothing really interesting has been going on with me. All work and no play makes Nickie a rather dull person, certainly not one whose life you guys might be interested to read about!

I’ve been busy wrapping presents for Santa’s Sack, running reports to find the entrants to the daily draw, making sure prizes are sent out in a timely fashion etc. There has been no time to do much else. Having said that the fit friend recently turned 40 and we are off out to celebrate this weekend so after a few beers, there may be a few stories to recant early next week.

The Emptying Has Begun!

Monday, Dec. 2nd 2013 7:21 AM

Yesterday was the first day of the Santa’s Sack promotion and up for grabs was a Doctor Who Tardis Mug complete with a lid. To get your name into the prize draw to win the mug you simply had to win on the D, E or C pattern and then your name was in our virtual hat. Now we want to share with you the story of the draw – how we randomise the winners AND how easy it is to win.

Firstly we will tell you how we ensure that the draw is random. Each valid entry is entered onto a spreadsheet and allocated a number – 1 to however many entries there are. When the clock strikes midnight the draw is closed and each qualifying player has been allocated a number. I then ask my husband, my daughter or a friend to pick any number from 1 to [insert number of entries]. The person choosing the number cannot see the list, they are simply giving me a number and the corresponding player becomes the day’s winner.
