Posted by on: Thursday, Aug. 4th 2016 11:52 AM

As regular players at Tidy Bingo will know, Tidy is under new ownership now and as such, we need to settle the Tidy Savers promotion and ensure you all get your vouchers that you have saved with us up to and including 31st July 2016.

In total you managed to save £550.25 since November 2015, an impressive amount by all accounts!

Posted by on: Wednesday, Aug. 3rd 2016 12:18 PM

On July 5th we made our 5th donation to Help for Heroes, taking the total amount donated at that point to an impressive £2,868.90! As is always the case when we make a donation, we received a letter thanking us just a few days later.

The letter thanks us for the donation and tells of his it is put to use supporting wounded soldiers and their families. If you read on, you will see a scanned copy of the letter.

Tidy Cupboard – Changes Afoot

Posted by on: Friday, Jul. 1st 2016 12:36 AM

As you will all know, for some time now we have seen a drop in the number of players in the Tidy Cupboard. This has continued for a while now and David and I have made a decision to change things around a little.

Rather than lose the room completely, something we don’t want to do, we’re going to try and revive it. How we plan to do that may sound a little odd but there is a method in our madness. However, it does mean that from 1st August 2016 the Cupboard is only to be open on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Loyalty Rewarded At Tidy Bingo

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 2:47 PM

As regulars at Tidy Bingo will know, the network offers a loyalty reward scheme that sees you earn extra bonuses, cash back etc. as you rise through the ranks. As a little something extra, we’re going to introduce a form of loyalty scheme into the Tidy Cupboard too.

As you will have noticed, player numbers have been dropping of late in the Cupboard and as such, it doesn’t remain viable to keep giving away as many loyalty points as we have been whilst player numbers diminish.

Tidy Bingo Up For Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 1:23 PM

The Which Bingo Award shortlist has been announced today and once again Tidy Bingo has received a nomination. This year there isn’t a Best Boutique Bingo Site, the category we usually find ourselves in. For 2016, we have been nominated as Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site and for the first time since we launched, we’re going to put a bit of effort into winning.

It’s not that we don’t want to win, of course it isn’t, but we are always competing with brands we have bigger budgets and more players so it often feels like we are a non-starter. This year however, only five of the brands under the Jumpman Gaming hat have been nominated so our odds of winning are slightly better!

Catchphrase Competition – March 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Feb. 25th 2016 1:29 PM

Can you believe it’s nearly March already? It seems like only yesterday that we were running Christmas competitions and rummaging in Santa’s Sack! Anyway, as the year rolls on, it’s time for another Catchphrase competition and your chance to win a selection of Tidy branded goods, maybe some Help For Heroes bits and bobs and even some bonus funds!

This time we’re going to do things a little differently (not much) and will be sending the competition by internal mail, external mail and posting on Facebook. We’re hoping this gets more people involved and who knows, with enough entries – we might even throw in a few extra prizes!

Ham And Egg Cups

Posted by on: Sunday, Jan. 24th 2016 5:36 PM

As some of you may know, I’m currently with Slimming World trying to shed a few stone. If you’ve never done this diet before then it’s worth knowing that foods are divided into categories and it is actually the only diet that I have done that I have found really easy to stick to. The only thing that I am not completely comfortable with is the weekly meetings, and whilst I know many get a lot from the meetings – they don’t really do it for me. If any of you guys want to slim along with me – feel free. I lost 6.5lbs in my first week….

That said, I have paid for 10 sessions, so I will do those and then probably just continue alone at home. Anyway, I digress, the reason for this blog post was to share one of the recipes that I made today, one that I really enjoyed and takes hardly any time to make. It’s a free food, so you can eat as many of these as you want.

Free Jackpot Game – The Outcome

Posted by on: Saturday, Jan. 23rd 2016 9:50 PM

I thought that I’d sit in the room and watch our biggest every free game take place tonight, the big £1000 jackpot. I wanted to see who were winners, and of course, report the outcome to all the Tidy Bingo players who were otherwise engaged.

In total there were a whopping 4,437 when the game got underway and I was on tenterhooks (as I am sure the players in the room were too).

Thank You, Thank You And Again, Thank You

Posted by on: Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2015 7:38 PM

There are many things that I love about Tidy and for those of you that know me, you’ll know that it has always been a dream of mine to run my own bingo site. From player, to host, from host to writer and then writer to site owner, it took me ten years to get here but I did.

There have been ups and downs, as our blog readers know, but one of the biggest ups happened this week. Quietly beavering away in my office, the doorbell rings with a delivery…..

Our Heart Is No Longer Heavy..

Thursday, Nov. 12th 2015 5:58 PM

It’s not often that I am really excited to be writing a retraction of content that I have previously posted but today I am over the moon! David and I have just been on a conference call with Ben and Alex of the 15 Network and are pleased to announce that we have been able to reach a compromise that all parties are happy with.

First and foremost this means that Tidy will be staying exactly how it is – all the exclusives, the Cupboard, CM Blondie – it will all remain – if you’ll still have us?

With A Heavy Heart…

Tuesday, Nov. 10th 2015 11:15 AM

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this blog and it’s been a tough decision for both David and I but one that had to be made. As our regular players will know, there has recently been some changes to the site’s Terms And Conditions surrounding the minimum wagering amount before first withdrawal (increased from £30 to £100). This was a change that we were not consulted about nor told of when it was implemented.

Both David and I have been player advocates for many years (you only have to look at the sites he owns and I write for to see that – visit playingbingo.co.uk). Despite requesting that the lower figure be reinstated for our site at least, the powers that be are not currently willing to move on their position.

X Factor Weekend – Second Double Elimination

Tuesday, Nov. 10th 2015 12:15 AM

The theme was reinvention for the contestants this weekend and the jury is out as to how well this was achieved by all of the acts. The judges themselves seemed to be a bit confused about what the theme meant so we saw some very different interpretations. Before I look at those I have to mention Caroline Flack (again). I would love to know who dresses her as her outfits, particularly Sundays, are awful. She continued to talk over Ollie when he was presenting, squinted constantly for her badly delivered lines and her interviewing skills, whether it is the contestants or the acts on the show are cringeworthy.

This week Simon looked plain bored which was rather amusing, Grimmy looked like he had overdone the botox and a bit like a rabbit caught in the showbiz headlights for most of the show. Rita and Cheryl, however, looked fantastic. I am starting to look forward to what they will wear, which hairstyle will be worn and, of course, their fab make up. I still think Cheryl is winning the “fash-off” but Rita did a much better job this weekend so the battle is well and truly on. We also had 2 outside acts on the show. One was last year’s runner-up Fleur East and omg didn’t she blow the roof off the place. I didn’t watch the show last year and was seeing her for the 1st time; I thought she was awesome. We also had CeeLo Green on and umm why was he covered in flowers? It was the weirdest outfit I have ever seen and all I could think was that he must be very hot. Not my cup of tea at all.

Tidy Cupboard Use

Friday, Nov. 6th 2015 1:11 AM

At the beginning of October we negotiated with the network to have the Tidy Cupboard opened two extra sessions a week, something that has been requested by several players over the last few months. The room was opened on 15th October for the first time on a Wednesday and has now been available to players for a few weeks.

Out of curiosity, I took at look at the player numbers since the room has opened and it’s just not being used. As I said when we first opened the room, if it’s not used then it will close.

Tidy Cupboard Halloween Party

Friday, Nov. 6th 2015 12:15 AM

We had our Halloween Party in the Tidy Cupboard last Friday evening and to quote the well known Four Seasons song “Oh What A Night!” The four hours flew by in a blur of spookiness, prize winning and of course a fantastic Progressive Jackpot win by roomie nattie. Nickie and I both hosted the spooktastic celebration and came dressed for the part (see pics below). The first hour saw everyone grabbing their seats, being served drinks by our resident Barlady/DJ, onetreehill85, and getting into the Halloween mood with our first chat game “Happy Halloween”.

From 8-10pm the party was in full swing with a monster amount of trick or treat prizes being given away by the hosts. Some lovely Treat gifts were won, such as Sterling Silver Crystal Stud earrings, some Cadburys Retro Adverts Coasters, Davidoff Cool Water perfume for ladies and an LED Wristwatch for men. The Trick prizes however stole the show with some lucky cubbiers taking home such delights as a Purple Donkey Bingo game and an inflatable blow up parrot. Trick winner of the night was davep123 who is now the lucky owner of a used Christmas Crooners CD and 6 rolls of Retro Hot Pink Toilet Roll. I must admit I haven’t laughed so much in ages.

Changes To Site Terms And Conditions

Tuesday, Nov. 3rd 2015 7:37 PM

It has recently come to our attention that there has been a significant change to the Terms and Conditions across the 15 Network surrounding withdrawal rules. The change only affects new players really, but it’s one that we are less than pleased about and are currently in negotiations with the network in order to have the old rules reinstated.

The change was one that apparently was implemented ‘about a month ago’ but only came to light when I was researching a bonus change at another site on the network (Lucky Rainbow Bingo are now offering £5 free if you haven’t already registered there). As part of that research whilst wearing my bingo writer’s hat, I always check the wagering requirements….

X Factor First Live Show Weekend

Monday, Nov. 2nd 2015 12:15 AM

This weekend saw the very first live show for our contestants and two of the acts were sent home on Sunday in a shock double vote off. Simon was back to his old dapper self this week and we said goodbye to the Cowell “Shabby Chic” beard. Cheryl looked stunning in two very classy outfits and Rita looked like she had forgotten to put half her clothes on when she showed up Sunday! Nick Grimshaw still annoys the life out of me – I just want Louis Walsh back.

The Saturday Live Show gave the contestants a chance to showcase who they were and most acts did a pretty good job of this. Lauren kicked the show off with a confident and fun performance and her made over hair looked great. Max followed with a strange reggae Adele song, which didn’t work for me but did for most of the judges. I did like Alien Uncovered but at the time I thought they just weren’t the sort of thing Saturday night viewers would get. Kiera came next and looked like a young Beyoncé, stunning. Her performance wasn’t quite as stunning however, it was all a little safe and predictable.
