Tidy Savers Update – August 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Aug. 4th 2016 11:52 AM

As regular players at Tidy Bingo will know, Tidy is under new ownership now and as such, we need to settle the Tidy Savers promotion and ensure you all get your vouchers that you have saved with us up to and including 31st July 2016.

In total you managed to save £550.25 since November 2015, an impressive amount by all accounts!

Help For Heroes – Tidy Bingo’s 5th Donation

Posted by on: Wednesday, Aug. 3rd 2016 12:18 PM

On July 5th we made our 5th donation to Help for Heroes, taking the total amount donated at that point to an impressive £2,868.90! As is always the case when we make a donation, we received a letter thanking us just a few days later.

The letter thanks us for the donation and tells of his it is put to use supporting wounded soldiers and their families. If you read on, you will see a scanned copy of the letter.

Tidy Cupboard – Changes Afoot

Posted by on: Friday, Jul. 1st 2016 12:36 AM

As you will all know, for some time now we have seen a drop in the number of players in the Tidy Cupboard. This has continued for a while now and David and I have made a decision to change things around a little.

Rather than lose the room completely, something we don’t want to do, we’re going to try and revive it. How we plan to do that may sound a little odd but there is a method in our madness. However, it does mean that from 1st August 2016 the Cupboard is only to be open on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Loyalty Rewarded At Tidy Bingo

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 2:47 PM

As regulars at Tidy Bingo will know, the network offers a loyalty reward scheme that sees you earn extra bonuses, cash back etc. as you rise through the ranks. As a little something extra, we’re going to introduce a form of loyalty scheme into the Tidy Cupboard too.

As you will have noticed, player numbers have been dropping of late in the Cupboard and as such, it doesn’t remain viable to keep giving away as many loyalty points as we have been whilst player numbers diminish.

Tidy Bingo Up For Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 1:23 PM

The Which Bingo Award shortlist has been announced today and once again Tidy Bingo has received a nomination. This year there isn’t a Best Boutique Bingo Site, the category we usually find ourselves in. For 2016, we have been nominated as Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site and for the first time since we launched, we’re going to put a bit of effort into winning.

It’s not that we don’t want to win, of course it isn’t, but we are always competing with brands we have bigger budgets and more players so it often feels like we are a non-starter. This year however, only five of the brands under the Jumpman Gaming hat have been nominated so our odds of winning are slightly better!

Catchphrase Competition – March 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Feb. 25th 2016 1:29 PM

Can you believe it’s nearly March already? It seems like only yesterday that we were running Christmas competitions and rummaging in Santa’s Sack! Anyway, as the year rolls on, it’s time for another Catchphrase competition and your chance to win a selection of Tidy branded goods, maybe some Help For Heroes bits and bobs and even some bonus funds!

This time we’re going to do things a little differently (not much) and will be sending the competition by internal mail, external mail and posting on Facebook. We’re hoping this gets more people involved and who knows, with enough entries – we might even throw in a few extra prizes!

Ham And Egg Cups

Posted by on: Sunday, Jan. 24th 2016 5:36 PM

As some of you may know, I’m currently with Slimming World trying to shed a few stone. If you’ve never done this diet before then it’s worth knowing that foods are divided into categories and it is actually the only diet that I have done that I have found really easy to stick to. The only thing that I am not completely comfortable with is the weekly meetings, and whilst I know many get a lot from the meetings – they don’t really do it for me. If any of you guys want to slim along with me – feel free. I lost 6.5lbs in my first week….

That said, I have paid for 10 sessions, so I will do those and then probably just continue alone at home. Anyway, I digress, the reason for this blog post was to share one of the recipes that I made today, one that I really enjoyed and takes hardly any time to make. It’s a free food, so you can eat as many of these as you want.

Free Jackpot Game – The Outcome

Posted by on: Saturday, Jan. 23rd 2016 9:50 PM

I thought that I’d sit in the room and watch our biggest every free game take place tonight, the big £1000 jackpot. I wanted to see who were winners, and of course, report the outcome to all the Tidy Bingo players who were otherwise engaged.

In total there were a whopping 4,437 when the game got underway and I was on tenterhooks (as I am sure the players in the room were too).

Thank You, Thank You And Again, Thank You

Posted by on: Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2015 7:38 PM

There are many things that I love about Tidy and for those of you that know me, you’ll know that it has always been a dream of mine to run my own bingo site. From player, to host, from host to writer and then writer to site owner, it took me ten years to get here but I did.

There have been ups and downs, as our blog readers know, but one of the biggest ups happened this week. Quietly beavering away in my office, the doorbell rings with a delivery…..

Christmas Game From Coff

Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2015 5:28 PM

Often when the presents have been opened and the turkey eaten we’ll settle down in front of the TV for the Queen’s speech or a film or two. It can always seem like a bit of an anti-climax if we’re honest, but Coff has given us a little food for thought with a special Christmas game.

What you need us two packs playing cards & variety of gifts (preferably a variety of different types; some good, some rubbish and some just downright silly). Wrap all of the gifts, disguise as best you can e.g a sponge from £1 shop in a box with a bell or a few beads to make noise when shaken, junk from Xmas Crackers put in a jam jar etc.

Couples Come Dine With Me

Monday, Nov. 16th 2015 2:15 PM

As most of our regulars are aware, a few months ago now my husband and I recorded our Couples Come Dine With Me. Last week received notification from Channel 4 that our episode is to air on Thursday, December 3rd at 5 pm!

I was considering opening the Tidy Cupboard as the show aired but have decided against that. What we are looking to do though is change the opening times on a Wednesday and Thursday to 6 pm until midnight. If that happens, then on Thursday 3rd December, I’ll go all celebrity on you and be in the room for a Q&A session hahaha

Blondie’s Childhood Memories

Friday, May. 8th 2015 12:05 AM

I recently watched a TV series on the change in food over the decades since the 50’s and it brought back many memories (good and bad) about all sorts of things, so I thought I’d pop them on here and see if you guys have the same sort of memories too.

I was born in 1970, the decade of flares, roller skates, power cuts and hot summers. To me my childhood seemed to be all about the outdoors, climbing trees, and making dens and bonfires. Chocolate bars were bigger (though we didn’t get to eat that many back then mind you, they were a rare treat), crisps were crazy & cool (Monster Munch just came out), fizzy pop was delivered to your door – you recycled the glass bottles for 5p a time, and the robins and blue tits stole the cream from the top of you milk left by the milkman, the tell tale holes in the foil lids giving away their crimes.

10 Things You May Not Know About Blondie

Friday, May. 1st 2015 7:33 AM

Many of you have known me for quite a few years now as for the past 10 years I’ve been hanging around on one bingo site or another making myself known and bringing with me my unique style of Blondie banter. Some of you have only met me recently through Tidy Bingo and hopefully my typonese hasn’t put you off too much so far.

But what weird and wonderful facts about me did I think you may not know. Some may surprise you, some may make you laugh but one things for sure they are all me!

Christmas Present Ideas – Blog One

Tuesday, Oct. 21st 2014 11:18 PM

In the Tidy Cupboard this evening we were discussing the overall cost of Christmas and how it seems to get more and more expensive each and every year. I’m one of those people who tries to spread the cost over a few months and usually I’ve started present buying in August. I know, kill me know! After chatting with roomies tonight we came up with the idea of a blog post once a week that lists 10 cheap and cheerful gifts – nine will be £5 or less and one that will be slightly more expensive but no more than £10.

This week most of the ideas come from Studio 24, and online catalogue style store. You have a couple of options, create a credit account and pay the minimum each month or simply pay it all off the minute your bill shows.

All Settled In And Ready To Party

Tuesday, Aug. 5th 2014 11:01 AM

First things first, a little apology to our blog for the neglect! What with the move and everything, the blog looks a little unloved but we’re all settled in and finally getting on top of things. The house is lovely and all of the boxes are now unpacked phew. The last few weeks have boasted great weather, although it is currently piddling down, and I am now sporting a rather nice tan.

So what has been happening with Tidy Bingo? Well the most exciting thing for me personally is that we are not far away from our first birthday. I can’t believe it has been a year since we opened but then I’m always shocked at how quickly the four-hour sessions pass in the Tidy Cupboard on a Tuesday. The saying ‘Time flies when you are having fun’ is certainly true at Tidy.

Moving House – The Tidy Affect

Tuesday, Jul. 1st 2014 3:26 PM

As many of the blog readers will know, next week I move house. I depart from the cold North of the country for the sunnier climes of Devon on 9th July. Moving house means that I will be without Internet connection for a number of days and this article is about how this will affect players at the site.

None of the effects are going to be detrimental of course, simply that there will be some delays on the updates of some promotions or details. Everything will run the same manner, games will continue to play, promotions will still run – there will simply be a bit of a time delay on some things.

Be Back Soon

Thursday, Feb. 13th 2014 11:42 AM

Today is my last day of work for a week as those of you who read the blog already know. However I wanted to just recap for any of you that had missed that last post (and share my excitement of course). Tomorrow the family and I jet off to Alanya in Turkey for a week and as mentioned before, this will affect some aspects of Tidy but not your overall playing experience.

Even though I’m not here, I’ve scheduled a couple of bonus codes to go live whilst I am away and tomorrow there is a special promotion happening across the network. Any player who wins on the number 14 (a full house or pattern win) will get a heart shaped box of chocolates as well as the standard house prize they have won. For Tidy players that is on top of a score on the Loved Up leader board .

Diary Dates For Tidyers

Monday, Feb. 3rd 2014 2:59 PM

As a bingo player myself I have always found it a little frustrating when a brand offers a promotion and then fails to deliver relevant information. Here at Tidy David and I work hard to keep on top of all the promotions that we run. Our exclusive promotions are not managed by a team of staff, they are managed by ourselves so if at any point you want information, feel free to drop us a line on the team@tidybingo.com address and we’ll do our best to supply the details you require.

The reason for this blog post is to keep you up to date with a few diary dates that are going to affect a couple of the promotions that we are currently running. This weekend for instance there is a big online gaming conference in London and both David and I will be there promoting Tidy Bingo to our peers. This means that the Loved Up leaderboard won’t be updated simply because I’m not here to do it.
