Tidy Savers Update – August 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Aug. 4th 2016 11:52 AM

As regular players at Tidy Bingo will know, Tidy is under new ownership now and as such, we need to settle the Tidy Savers promotion and ensure you all get your vouchers that you have saved with us up to and including 31st July 2016.

In total you managed to save £550.25 since November 2015, an impressive amount by all accounts!

Help For Heroes – Tidy Bingo’s 5th Donation

Posted by on: Wednesday, Aug. 3rd 2016 12:18 PM

On July 5th we made our 5th donation to Help for Heroes, taking the total amount donated at that point to an impressive £2,868.90! As is always the case when we make a donation, we received a letter thanking us just a few days later.

The letter thanks us for the donation and tells of his it is put to use supporting wounded soldiers and their families. If you read on, you will see a scanned copy of the letter.

Tidy Cupboard – Changes Afoot

Posted by on: Friday, Jul. 1st 2016 12:36 AM

As you will all know, for some time now we have seen a drop in the number of players in the Tidy Cupboard. This has continued for a while now and David and I have made a decision to change things around a little.

Rather than lose the room completely, something we don’t want to do, we’re going to try and revive it. How we plan to do that may sound a little odd but there is a method in our madness. However, it does mean that from 1st August 2016 the Cupboard is only to be open on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Loyalty Rewarded At Tidy Bingo

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 2:47 PM

As regulars at Tidy Bingo will know, the network offers a loyalty reward scheme that sees you earn extra bonuses, cash back etc. as you rise through the ranks. As a little something extra, we’re going to introduce a form of loyalty scheme into the Tidy Cupboard too.

As you will have noticed, player numbers have been dropping of late in the Cupboard and as such, it doesn’t remain viable to keep giving away as many loyalty points as we have been whilst player numbers diminish.

Tidy Bingo Up For Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site

Posted by on: Monday, Apr. 4th 2016 1:23 PM

The Which Bingo Award shortlist has been announced today and once again Tidy Bingo has received a nomination. This year there isn’t a Best Boutique Bingo Site, the category we usually find ourselves in. For 2016, we have been nominated as Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site and for the first time since we launched, we’re going to put a bit of effort into winning.

It’s not that we don’t want to win, of course it isn’t, but we are always competing with brands we have bigger budgets and more players so it often feels like we are a non-starter. This year however, only five of the brands under the Jumpman Gaming hat have been nominated so our odds of winning are slightly better!

Catchphrase Competition – March 2016

Posted by on: Thursday, Feb. 25th 2016 1:29 PM

Can you believe it’s nearly March already? It seems like only yesterday that we were running Christmas competitions and rummaging in Santa’s Sack! Anyway, as the year rolls on, it’s time for another Catchphrase competition and your chance to win a selection of Tidy branded goods, maybe some Help For Heroes bits and bobs and even some bonus funds!

This time we’re going to do things a little differently (not much) and will be sending the competition by internal mail, external mail and posting on Facebook. We’re hoping this gets more people involved and who knows, with enough entries – we might even throw in a few extra prizes!

Ham And Egg Cups

Posted by on: Sunday, Jan. 24th 2016 5:36 PM

As some of you may know, I’m currently with Slimming World trying to shed a few stone. If you’ve never done this diet before then it’s worth knowing that foods are divided into categories and it is actually the only diet that I have done that I have found really easy to stick to. The only thing that I am not completely comfortable with is the weekly meetings, and whilst I know many get a lot from the meetings – they don’t really do it for me. If any of you guys want to slim along with me – feel free. I lost 6.5lbs in my first week….

That said, I have paid for 10 sessions, so I will do those and then probably just continue alone at home. Anyway, I digress, the reason for this blog post was to share one of the recipes that I made today, one that I really enjoyed and takes hardly any time to make. It’s a free food, so you can eat as many of these as you want.

Free Jackpot Game – The Outcome

Posted by on: Saturday, Jan. 23rd 2016 9:50 PM

I thought that I’d sit in the room and watch our biggest every free game take place tonight, the big £1000 jackpot. I wanted to see who were winners, and of course, report the outcome to all the Tidy Bingo players who were otherwise engaged.

In total there were a whopping 4,437 when the game got underway and I was on tenterhooks (as I am sure the players in the room were too).

£604 Donated To Help For Heroes

Posted by on: Tuesday, Jan. 5th 2016 3:56 PM

Just before Christmas we made our fourth donation to the Help For Heroes charity thanks to the your continued support of the Tidy and the Troops game.

To date we have now donated £2238.75 with a further £49.25 raised since we last donated to this great cause. As always when we make a donation, Help For Heroes send us a letter and if you continue reading you will find a scan of the letter received.

Thank You, Thank You And Again, Thank You

Posted by on: Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2015 7:38 PM

There are many things that I love about Tidy and for those of you that know me, you’ll know that it has always been a dream of mine to run my own bingo site. From player, to host, from host to writer and then writer to site owner, it took me ten years to get here but I did.

There have been ups and downs, as our blog readers know, but one of the biggest ups happened this week. Quietly beavering away in my office, the doorbell rings with a delivery…..

Nickie’s Move Update

Thursday, Jul. 10th 2014 9:35 AM

You’ll be happy to hear that Nickie is in her new abode, albeit sans furniture and sleeping on an air bed. Ah, the joys of moving house, I think none of us would wish that on anyone! But, as with any move, there is one big issue that will cause delays here at Tidy. Nickie’s internet is down and won’t be up again until Thursday the 17th of July. Ouch.

I did offer her my dongle to play with in the meantime, but I’m not sure she didn’t take it the wrong way as I haven’t heard from her since. Nickie, it’s a mobile broadband dongle, I didn’t mean anything rude! Honestly!

In practical terms, that means Nickie will be unable to announce any competition or promo results until she is tapped back into the grid. We’d like to apologise for the delay, but I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing Nickie the best in her new place. Tune in next Thursday and Nickie will announce anything that’s outstanding then! In the meantime have a great weekend, and don’t forget you can pre-buy our exclusive Birthday Blow-out Guaranteed Jackpot game in the Jackpots tab of the lobby right, now.

Why Play In The Tidy Cupboard?

Sunday, Mar. 23rd 2014 4:00 PM

As our readers will know we have our very own standalone room at Tidy Bingo. We’re the first (and currently the only) site on the 15 Network to offer this but we need your help to make it a success. At this point in time we have just a handful of our members who utilise the room but we want to see more Tidyer’s come and join in the fun we have each and every Tuesday and Friday.

What we need from you though is feedback as to what would make you more likely to come and play in the room? At Tidy Bingo we are open to suggestions from our players and have an email address where you can contact both David and myself, team@tidybingo.com.

Wishing You All A Very Merry Christmas

Thursday, Dec. 19th 2013 12:15 PM

Today is my last official work day, I’m packing up and going off to Butlins for Christmas! Don’t worry though, the site has been left in the good hands of our very own elves, the lovely chat hosts so you’re not going to find the chat rooms deserted. In addition to that I will be in and out, running reports and of course, announcing Santa’s Sack winners with someone actually having the pleasure of chatting with me on Christmas Day when I call to tell them they have one the big prize!

Before I depart I just wanted to wish each and everyone of you and very happy Christmas and tell you that I hope you have all been really good, and that Santa’s brings you all that your heart desires.

A Tidy Christmas For The Troops

Monday, Dec. 16th 2013 3:41 PM

Emergency Bingo KitYou may not realise, but Bingo has a long tradition of being played in the British armed forces, dating back to the mid 19th century. It was a staple morale booster in the trenches of World War I and is still played in military circles to this day.

When Tidy Bingo learned that a morale boosting game in Afghanistan was in need of some basic bingo supplies due to the popularity of the games, we stepped in and sent an emergency bingo kit. With a big game planned for Christmas Day, and not enough bingo tickets to go around, we sent the guys a pack of markers and tickets so their game and Christmas Day celebrations could go with a swing.

On top of that, we sent them a couple of little presents that they could use for the games when they play a big jackpot game. We included a Tidy Bingo T-shirt (booby prize), some chocolates and a £25 iTunes voucher for them to play for. We felt it would be a great way to show our support at would can be a difficult time for our armed services abroad.

The parcels went off by BFPO last week, so we’re hoping a bit of good luck will get them out to the troops before Christmas Day. If you could send a bit of Tidy Bingo luck their way they might just make it. We’re hoping to hear from the troops when they get their emergency bingo kit, and hopefully we can share a couple of photos of their Christmas Day game once it’s been played. Good luck all, and Happy Christmas to you from Tidy Bingo. Stay safe!

UPDATE: We’re pleased to say that the troops received their package, and will be having a good old game on Christmas Day.

Retail Therapy Tidy Style

Monday, Nov. 18th 2013 10:01 PM

I’ve been in bingo quite some time as some of you will already know. I started as a player, then I opened my own portal reviewing other brands, I’ve been a chat host, a writer (or commentator as someone once referred to me as) and now I own half of Tidy Bingo. All those years ago when I started playing online I knew one day I’d own a site, it only took me nearly 10 years though.

Working in bingo means no two days are the same. Today was certainly a different day but I had a blast. My whole day, from 7am this morning until writing this article has been about creating the next exclusive promotion for Tidy players. I’ve put my heart and soul into it and I’m really excited for December and how you guys take to the next promotion.

Catch Your Chat Host Out

Friday, Oct. 25th 2013 7:59 AM

Recently I wrote about chat host typos and how they can be quite funny in the rooms. Of course I’m not talking the usual typo but something with a bit of innuendo or an expletive that wasn’t supposed to be there, I’m sure you know what I mean. In the original post (read it here) I suggested the Tidyer’s send us examples of the typos they see in the chat rooms at Tidy Bingo but to date we haven’t received any!

A suggestion by one of our hosts on our Facebook wall was that you have all been sworn to secrecy so we thought a little bonus bribe might loosen lips so how does £50 sound to get you talking and sharing the funny typos?

Your Site, Your Say

Thursday, Oct. 24th 2013 7:58 AM

Since the site launched I believe that we have shared quite a bit about who we are and our plans for Tidy Bingo, one of which is that we want you to have a say in what you see at the site. It’s all well and good David and I brain storming promotions but does what we offer appeal to you? David and I may own Tidy Bingo but it is YOUR site and we want YOU to have YOUR say.

As you will know if you are an avid Tidyer, since launch there have been four exclusive promotions to date – not bad considering we have only been open a month. All of the details for these can be seen on the Promotions page from the main site but in short they are:

Chat Host Typos

Friday, Oct. 18th 2013 1:06 PM

There are many different aspects of any online bingo site that make it work and keep players coming back time and time again but for me, one of the most important features are the chat hosts. These are the front of our bingo brand, the receptionists if you like and without great hosts, a brand has very little to offer by way of the social side of bingo.

I thought it would be quite funny, having been a host myself, to start a “just for fun” style competition. Having been a host myself I am well aware of typos and the mirth that said typos can create in a room (read on for details of some of my typos). What I’d like to hear about is some of the classic typos that the hosts at Tidy Bingo make – whether it’s the host themselves posting the typos or you, the players – I want to hear about it. Sadly I can’t be in the rooms all the time, I’d never get any work done, so I probably miss all the best ones so Tidyer’s can be my eyes and ears to ensure I get to hear all the doozies!

Another Exclusive For Tidyer’s – HalloWIN

Wednesday, Oct. 16th 2013 9:52 AM

David is feeling rather pleased with himself today, he’s the brains behind the new exclusive promotion name – HalloWIN. It’s a catchy name don’t you think? HalloWIN is an example of how David and I work together, the promotional idea was mine, the name his. You could say we compliment each other. Anyway, enough of patting ourselves on the back and blowing hot air up our own posteriors – what does HalloWIN mean for you?

Most importantly it means the chance to win £50 in bonus funds and that’s a far from shoddy prize. There is £50 for EVERY player that can spell out BOO by winning on the B and O letters in the 75 ball rooms at Tidy Bingo. This means that whether one of 100 of Tidyer’s manage to spell BOO, each will get £50!

Proud Mummy Moments

Tuesday, Sep. 24th 2013 7:39 AM

One of the things that I was really keen to offer with Tidy Bingo was a real face of the brand, more than just your usual faceless names behind the site. David’s a little more private than me but in all honestly, my life is an open book with many a blank page but open for all to read if they are interested. For this reason the Tidy blog is somewhere where you will read/hear a lot about me and my life. Part of that is being a proud Mum to three kids and Nanna to twin girls….

Of course there are some things that you just don’t share on a public fora with complete strangers for many reasons. However, one of the things I really want to share with you are some videos of my middle son. I have three kids – Adam is 24 and a father to twin girls, Joshua is 21 (in January) and an entertainer at Butlins and Emily is 15 and in her final year of school with plans to join the RAF.
